OPPO Set to Enter the Indian Mobile Market

OPPO announced its plans to enter India’s mobile market with the N1 as the flagship device. The announcement took place during a launch event held at the Grand New Delhi Hotel alongside Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor, spokespersons for the brand. As OPPO slowly continues to expand globally, the company will focus on increasing brand awareness and recognition.

Expansion into India

As the mobile industry in India is on the rise, OPPO has begun to move forward with its plans of expansion into the country. The company has a growing fan base throughout India and will be opening off-line stores throughout the country to better provide its users with on-site service and an overall more personal experience with products.

India’s growing community has seen substantial growth in the smartphone market and among those users, there is a dedicated following of OPPO enthusiasts. “We want to keep the focus on the users during the entry into the country. This way we can really build a strong relationship with each of them” said Tom Lu, CEO of OPPO India, “The after sales service is going to factor in as an important area to maintain in order to keep continued satisfaction with our phones.”

Having signed a yearlong contract, Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor, two distinguished figures within the Bollywood community, will act as spokespersons for the brand. With the endorsement, OPPO looks to increase its brand recognition throughout the country.
